So, you’ve got your hands on one of our Life-Size Bengal Tigers! Right now it’s probably still in the box, not really looking much like a real tiger, but there’s no need to worry. These instructions will help you get the tiger from box to living room in a short amount of time. We’ve made every attempt to make this instructions easy to understand and follow, but if after reading the instructions you still can’t figure it out, don’t hesitate to give us a call at 1-800-665-5656. Let’s get started...

PREPARING THE TIGER TO BE INFLATED 1. Remove the tiger skin from the box. Remember that there’s a vinyl inflatable lining inside the skin, so you want to make sure not to let it fall out of place when you’re pulling the tiger out. 2. Lay the tiger skin out flat. The tigers front legs should be pointed directly forward, while it’s back legs should be pointed to the left of its body.

The Inflatable Liner To the left is a picture of the inflatable liner laid on top of the tiger skin. We already put the inflatable lining in for you when we packed the tiger, but while being shipped, the lining may have fallen out of place. Before you inflate the tiger, you’ll need to make sure that the inflatable is properly lined up inside so that it ends up where it’s supposed to be once inflated. The following instructions will help you do that.

Putting Some Air In The Tiger When you’re positioning the inflatable, it’s helpful to have a bit of air in it. The air will make the inflatable easier to rearrange and will help in identifying the flaps which go in the legs. 1) Open up the Velcro patch on the back of the tiger. Look into the hole and find the valve on the inflatable, and make sure that the valve is lined up with the Velcro opening. Page 2

2) Take the Air Pump out of the box. There are three different nozzle attachments. Attach the long, skinny nozzle firmly to the pump blower labelled “Inflate,” on the side of the pump. Plug the cord into an electrical outlet.

3) Open the valve on the tiger inflatable by removing the cap, and insert the pump nozzle into the inflatable valve. WARNING: The air pump can get quite loud, so you might want to use some sort of ear protection while filling the tiger. 4) Turn on the pump and fill the inflatable about 20%, or for around 45 seconds. When you are finished, pull the pump out and close the inflatable valve.

Arranging the Liner It’s important that the inflatable is properly positioned before you inflate the tiger. Follow these instructions and refer to the accompanying Diagrams on page 4 to help you get things right. 1) Reach inside the tiger and find the back legs on the inflatable. Push them inside the legs of the tiger, making sure that the inflatable is underneath any polyester in the legs. (Refer to Diagram 1)

2) Once you have the back legs positioned, find the front legs on the inflatable and push them inside the front legs of the tiger. Again, make sure that the inflatable is underneath any polyester in the legs. (Refer to Diagram 2)

3) There is a large flap of vinyl that supports the neck of the tiger. Make sure that it is inside the neck of the tiger so it doesn’t get folded over once you start inflating. (Refer to Diagram 3)

Page 3

4) Once you get the neck positioned, check and make sure that there is a layer of polyester behind the head. If there isn’t, grab a couple handfuls of polyester from the bag which is supplied, and stuff the polyester up into the head. This polyester will ensure that the head doesn’t rub against the vinyl and make an annoying squeaking sound. (Refer to Diagram 3) (Continued on next page...)

(Continued) 5) Feel around inside the tiger skin to make sure there aren’t any stray lumps of polyester. The only places that should have polyester are the tail, the front and back legs, and behind the head. 6) Make sure that the inflatable’s valve is more-or-less lined up with the Velcro hole. If it isn’t lined up, it will get covered by the tiger skin and become difficult to access once the tiger is fully inflated. If the valve is way out of line, it is likely that the neck is not positioned properly, so fixing the neck should help.

INFLATING THE TIGER

Once you have the inflatable lining properly in place, you are ready to fully inflate the tiger. It should take about 4-5 minutes for the tiger to inflate. Inflate the tiger until it feels firm but still gives when you apply pressure to it. Do not overinflate the tiger, as it will become difficult to close the Velcro patch.

TOUCHING UP WITH MORE POLYESTER STUFFING Before you close the Velcro, you will want to check if the tiger needs any additional polyester stuffing. When we pack the tigers, we try to put the right amount of polyester stuffing into the skins, but we can’t be perfect, so you might need to add some yourself. This is why we include the extra bag of polyester filling. Diagrams are on page 4. There are 3 places which may need more stuffing: a) Behind the head (Diagram 3), b) On the upper part of the back legs (Diagram 4), and c) On the upper part of the front legs including the lower part of the chest where the legs attach. (Diagrams 5 and 6) Unless you have long arms, it will usually be easier to put the stuffing in if you let some of the air out of the inflatable. Wait until you have determined where the stuffing is needed before you let any air out. Deciding if the tiger needs more stuffing is largely a matter of personal preference, but here’s what to look for when determining whether to add more polyester: a) At the Base of the Head, the skin of the neck should be mostly smooth at the seam. If there is a very defined bump, you should try pushing more stuffing into the top of the neck. (Diagram 3) Page 5

b) On the Back Legs, there are two things to look at. First, see if the skin looks saggy. If it is, you’ll need to add more stuffing. Remember: put the stuffing overtop of the inflatable. The second thing is a matter of preference. If the upper legs feel noticeably softer or less full than the body and the lower legs, you may want to add some stuffing to firm it up. (Diagram 4) c) On the Front Legs, the upper part of the legs may look like they’re not fully stuffed. Also, they may feel very soft in comparison to the body and the lower legs. If either of these things is the case, you may want to add some stuffing to make them firmer. This area extends a few inches up the side of the chest where the legs attach. (Diagrams 5 and 6) Once you have determined which places on the tiger need more polyester, open the valve on the inflatable and let some air out. If you want to let the air out faster, take the pump nozzle and attach it to the pump blower labelled “Deflate,” on the top of the pump. The pump will now suck air out of the inflatable. Let enough air out of the tiger so that you can reach inside easily, but don’t let too much out or you’ll have trouble telling where to put the polyester.

When you’re finished adding the polyester, put the pump nozzle back on the “Inflate” blower and fully inflate the tiger. As before, inflate the tiger until it feels firm but still gives when you apply pressure to it. Do not overinflate the tiger, as it will become difficult to close the Velcro patch.

Closing the Velcro To close the Velcro patch, start at one end and grabbing both pieces of Velcro firmly with each hand, pull them together. Once you have a portion of the Velcro done up, hold this part together while you attach the next portion of Velcro. You will need to hold the Velcro together as you are working, or else the pressure from the inflatable will make the Velcro pull apart again. If you can’t get the Velcro closed, try letting some air out of the tiger. Also, any loose fur stuck in the teeth of the Velcro will make the Velcro less sticky, so try pulling any fur out of the Velcro before you start. Once you get the Velcro closed up, your all done! At first the tiger’s fur may be a bit wrinkled from being in the box, but don’t worry, the wrinkles should come right out after a bit of use. We hope you enjoy your brand new pet tiger, and may it be a well-loved addition to your home for years to come! Page 6

Repacking the Tiger If you ever need to repack the tiger, remember that the air pump can help you. Just attach the Pump Nozzle to the “Deflate” valve on the pump, and the pump will pull the air right out of the inflatable.

Fixing the Vinyl The vinyl inflatable that lines your tiger is very strong, so you will likely never need to repair it. However, in the event that the vinyl gets punctured by a sharp object, we have included a professional vinyl repair kit to help you fix the hole. Just follow the instructions that are included in the kit. If you are going to repair the inflatable, you will probably need to remove the inflatable from the tiger skin. The best way to do this is to pull the front legs out first, and then pull the rest of the body out. Likewise, when you put the inflatable back into the tiger, the easiest way is to push the back legs in first, and then put the rest of the body in.
