INTERNAL/EXTERNAL FOR PROFESSIONAL STUDENT SERVICES PERSONNEL DISTRICT 7 BLUEWATER DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF: 1.0 FTE TEMPORARY SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST PSSP shall be given first consideration Reporting to the Learning Services Administrator, the successful applicant will provide speechlanguage services to school-aged children. The successful applicant will serve as a member of the existing speech language program. COMMENCING: Commencing January 14, 2019 and ending June 28, 2019 or earlier if incumbent returns or circumstances change. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide individual or group screening to identify students at risk or who need further speech and language assessment Provide resource support to school staff in assessment and programming for students with communication difficulties Participate in program development and review for students whose programs are being delivered by school staff Collaborate and consult with staff, parents, and outside agencies Provide in-service activities to staff Be responsible to the Superintendent of Education responsible for Learning ServicesStudent Support Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: Speech and Language Pathologist certification (Registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario) ASSETS: Proven communication and interpersonal skills Previous speech and language experience with children, families and school setting Valid driver’s license and vehicle available for daily travel Application Process: For all interested applicants, please send a cover letter together with a current resume, including references and permission to check references, by email to the application contact for the position you are applying by Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at 4:00 pm.
