f o r g ro u of fou ps ro m o re ! r

Alexandra House Conference Centre, Wroughton, Swindon Join us for our eighth annual conference - this year’s keynote speakers will be Will Ord, International speaker and consultant and Professor Kate Wall, University of Strathclyde. As usual, we anticipate a strong international presence, along with people from schools across the UK. A rare opportunity to meet and talk with people, all of whom have a strong interest in the development of thinking skills in young people.

Key Speakers Will Ord - Keynote on 13 June

Prof. Kate Wall - Keynote on 14th June

Will Ord is an internationally known education speaker & trainer, and specialises in Philosophy for Children, Great Learners, Growth Mindsets, and Mindfulness. He has been a full time school teacher, Chair of SAPERE (the UK charity for P4C), an associate lecturer at Oxford Brookes University, and worked with over a thousand schools in twenty five countries over the last thirteen years.

Kate’s work focuses on the development of innovative pedagogies and research methodologies (including visual approaches) that facilitate effective talk about learning (metacognition). She is interested in the development and exploration of democratic spaces where learners can talk about their experiences of learning.

The conference will again follow a tried and tested format with some thirty practical workshops led by teachers in schools taking a whole-school approach to the teaching of thinking, plus some of our own global trainers and colleagues in the Universities of Exeter and Wales Trinity St David. Workshop titles will include: What

Here are some comments from previous conferences Lots of CPD ideas for my staff. Really informative, lots of useful ideas/resources…. amazing! A well-organised, inspiring and thought-provoking event, once again. Each session reminds me why I love teaching so much. Fascinating, thought-provoking and fun.

Thank you for another fantastic conference. Some great thought-provoking workshops which will provide opportunity to apply back at school - loved this CPD!
