International Youth Conference Anne Frank House, Amsterdam 10-14 August 2014 “We cannot change what happened anymore. The only thing we can do is to learn from the past and to realize what discrimination and persecution of innocent people means. I believe that it’s everyone’s responsibility to fight prejudice.’’ - OTTO FRANK Final date for application June 6th 2014 Are you between the ages of 18 and 25? Have you been active before as a participant or volunteer in Anne Frank House projects? Would you like to meet people from all over the world? Are you ready to start your own project? Then join us in Amsterdam at the International Youth Conference at the Anne Frank House this August! This year, the Anne Frank House commemorates the 85th anniversary of Anne Frank. Anne’s father, Otto Frank, founded the Anne Frank House in 1957 and envisioned to bring together young people from all over the world to meet, create mutual understanding and share their common ideals inspired by Anne Frank. Otto Frank saw the Anne Frank House as a place serving as a warning from the past, building the present and dreaming the future. To honor this tradition, the Anne Frank House organizes a 5-day International Youth Conference, between August 10th-14th 2014 in Amsterdam. During the conference, participants have the opportunity to visit the Anne Frank House and be inspired by young people from all over the world who have worked on Anne Frank House projects. The program helps you acquire skills on how to set up, plan and manage your own project and work in a team. After the week in Amsterdam you will go back home and implement your own project with support from the Anne Frank House. And now you can also be a part of this tradition by applying before June 6th!
