Common installation and setup scenarios will be presented to include virtual infrastructure components
vSphere ESXi infrastructure overview, including ESXi hypervisor hardware, vCenter appliance, storage, and networking
vSphere ESXi configuration overview, including utilizing local storage, NFS, iSCSI, and Fibre Channel
Common vSphere configuration scenarios
Overview of common features offered by vCenter
Best Practices while using VMware vSphere
The workshop includes interactive sessions. Presenter will offer opportunity for Q/A and topic discussion. Live Demo of vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi utilizing VMware vSphere Client, Web Client, SSH will be included. Presenter Bio: Rusty Sowers is a Project Manager at Area-Wide Technologies, Inc. in Champaign, Illinois. Rusty has held multiple positions during his 7 years as a System Administrator, including System Technician, Linux Administrator, Network Administrator, and Project Manager. He currently oversees all aspects of client interaction related to Information Technology in his current role at Area-Wide Technologies. His certifications include Microsoft MCSE, VMware VCP-DCV, Veeam VMSTP, Cisco SMBE and Adtran ATSP.
