For over 50 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of San Dieguito is the longest serving youth organization in our community having never turned a child away. Our 7 Clubhouses and 6 specialty programs throughout Carmel Valley, Del Mar, Encinitas, & Solana Beach serve 6,000+ members and impact over 10,800+ San Diego youth. Last year we granted approximately $400,000 in full or partial scholarships through our After School Program & Specialty Programs such as Centers for a Healthy Lifestyle, Big Eig8t Middle School Sports, Youth Arts Academy, Summer Adventure Camps, Carmel Valley Montessori School and one of the most renowned swim teams in San Diego. Boys & Girls Clubs of San Dieguito focuses on three main outcomes: Good Character & Citizenship, Academic Success, and Healthy Lifestyles.

Dick Enberg Join us in honoring Sports Broadcasting Legend Dick Enberg as he receives the Breeders’ Cup Sports Racing Excellence Award: recognizing lifetime achievement in broadcasting. Mr. Enberg hosted Breeders’ Cup races from its’ inception in 1984 through 1990 for NBC. Mr. Enberg has garnered many awards and honors for his play-by-play coverage for various college and professional sports on both radio and television over a 60 year career. Credits include 13 Sports Emmy Awards (as well as a Lifetime Achievement Emmy), nine National Sportscaster of the Year awards from the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association (and induction into that organization's Hall of Fame), five Sportscaster of the Year awards from the American Sportscasters Association (which also ranked Mr. Enberg tenth in its 2009 listing of the Top 50 Sportscasters of All Time), the Pete Rozelle Award from the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the Curt Gowdy Award from the Basketball Hall of Fame, the Ford Frick Award from the National Baseball Hall of Fame, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Mr. Enberg retired from broadcasting in 2016 and is the only sportscaster thus far to win Emmys in three categories: broadcasting, writing, and producing.
