Windows 8 - Wi-Fi Setup
• After you have gone through this GCSSRegistration network process with your device… you will not have to do it again • If the device has already been registered and used on the network by someone else… you will not have to register it again • A computer login account is required to Register a device and also to use our wireless network • Will not hurt anything if you re-register a device
• Select the Desktop Application
• Left-click the wireless network icon in the taskbar
• Left-click the GCSS-Registration Network • Choose the Connect option… do not check the Connect Automatically box
• The Onboarding Portal window will appear momentarily • Select Register Device
• Select Continue to this website
• Type in your computer login – Username and Password and select Log In
• When prompted… choose the Run option
• When prompted… choose the Run option again
• If you receive this error next… choose Run anyway
• Select the Close button
• Left-click the wireless icon again in the taskbar and verify that you have now been connected to the GCSS-BYOT network • If it doesn’t show connected… select the Connect option
End of Registration Process • To access the Internet you will need to login the CNS Web Portal • The Web Portal timeout is set to 4 hours • You will not receive any type of pop-up when the timeout is reached… the pages will stop responding, etc.
• You may have to open and close the browser… then select Continue to this website in the web browser window
• Type in your computer login – Username and Password and select the Login button
