In Ramtha, (Sarhan area) a mortar shell was dropped and caused a huge fire in the area but no one got injured. A WhatsApp group will be created; in which all agencies that attend the meeting will be added to the group in order to keep them updated about safety and security. This WhatsApp group will provide security updates in Irbid and Mafraq area.

Updates, Inquires, and announcements UNHCR  During the meeting with the governor office, UNHCR mentioned that no agency approached their office to provide them with objective summery, updates, and working area for each agency.  UNHCR urges the attending agencies who have livelihood activities in the JRP, to attend the last training session on Sunday 7/5/2017 from 10:00-12:00. CARE  CARE started an employment fair component in five governorates (Amman, Mafraq, Irbid, Zarqa and Azraq town) in Jordan.  CARE still receives inputs and the “under process challenges” are to be done by the end of June as CARE is conducting a “Market Analysis Report 2017” at the same date.  CARE will release 2 important documents in the second quarter of this year, the “7th Urban Assessment” and the “Market Analysis for Livelihoods”.

CARE established the Programs Quality Department for the Country Office in order to have more focus on quality and measure of the impact of CARE Jordan services.



WFP started a validation process in the northern area in Irbid and Mafraq and will move to Jarash and Ajloun. This aims to make sure that card holders are BA or family members through their acted partners. They will finish on the 24th of May in Jarash and Ajloun. This process starts at 9:00 am to 3:00 PM. WFP sent flyers to Syrian refugees which contain some points in order to receive food assistance. These points are: o To bring the original copy of the registration certificate from UNHCR. If the certificate validation is expired, refugees should bring a stamped receipt for the certificate renewing appointment. o Refugees must present the WFP E-card. o The beneficiary has to be 16 years old and above. o ACTED will send an SMS to families about the investigation date, after which the investigation result will be sent to each beneficiary through SMS text only.

APS 

APS is working with AWO (Arab Women Organization) on a SGBV and women empowerment program. Women Centres will open very soon in Irbid and Mafraq.  APS has been working on a SGBV and RH program together with IFH (Institute for Family Health of the Noor Hussein Fundation), in Ajloun and Jarash.  APS’ support finished last March, but the two clinics of IFH will continue working with other support. World Vision  For Livelihoods, World Vision is conducting a 2nd catch-up distribution for gas cylinders and winter clothes for around 900 HHs in Irbid, Ajloun and Jerash.  WV has not yet established the cash transfers, as some more work needs to be done.  The reason for the delay of activities is because of the delay of MoPIC’s approval. ICRC  ICRC had a meeting with the governor of Irbid’s assistant and a governmental representative in Al Mazar, which ICRC discussed plans and purposes to implement the Multidisciplinary assessment.  ICRC had to close their clinic in Rab’a Alsarhan registration center in Mafraq, due to no entry for Syrian refugees. The focus group meeting with Syrians and Jordanians will take place within the current week.





MSF’s OCA project has two NCD clinics in Irbid City (Iben Cena & Iben Rush’d clinics). More than 30% of patients are Jordanian patients and the remainder are refugees from Syria. MSF has another war wounded surgical project in Ramtha which admits patients from South Syria.

TDH’s new field Coordinator will join TDH before end of May.

JHAS 

JHAS Provides primary health care services at the clinics’ level, while secondary and tertiary health care services are provided through governmental hospitals as well as some private affiliated hospitals.  JHAS has three clinics; first one is in Irbid, second is in Ramtha and the third is inside KAP camp.  JHAS has a focal point inside every governmental hospital, and a focal point in Jerash and Ajloun governorate. Humani-Terra  Humani-Terra is a French organization, which recently obtained the needed permissions from MoH and MOPIC to start operating in Jordan.  Humani-Terra is now in the phase of collecting possible candidates for their first surgical mission through their medical coordinator DR. Jehad Ne’imat. INTERSOS  INTERSOS Provides cash assistance for rent (last month paid for April) and for documentation in order to help the beneficiaries issue the main legal documents such as birth certificate, marriage, etc.  Two weeks ago, INTERSOS started psychosocial and basic skills activities and trainings in the ITS’ for the volunteers to train the ITS community of their role.  INTERSOS has continuous education activities of Makani tents through INTERSOS volunteers (teachers) at the ITS’.  “Bayanati” is a database being collected for the basic needs and information of students at the ITS’ for UNICEF’s project. LWF  The Livelihoods Program was completed on 30 April 2017 and the new project will be announced soon after completion of some procedures. IOCC Health and Nutrition:  IOCC is holding community awareness sessions about infant and young child feeding (IYCF) as well as Anaemia prevention.  IOCC is screening for malnutrition during the sessions and doing referral of cases of malnutrition for follow-up assistance and treatment- when identified. NGO’s are recommended to direct refugees to approach JHAS clinics and focal points when needed.

NGO’s can pass Dr. Jehad’s number (0789892017) to refugees and Jordanians after reading the criteria for possible candidates.



Screening, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for children with hearing, visual and mild-to-moderate mobility disabilities, with the help of communitybased rehabilitation workers who received training.  Provision of assistive devices; such as hearing aids, glasses and mobility aids.  IOCC is holding community awareness sessions and parent/caregiver self-help groups will be held once a month.
