time it takes to react effectively to a crisis is of critical importance. The standard passenger reaccommodation process
The Dreaded “Irregular Operations”

ƒƒ Immediate prediction of IROPS’ impact on every passenger’s journey

One of the maxims in the airline industry is that travel may not go as planned. Severe weather, air traffic congestion, crew availability, security issues and other disruptions all wreak havoc with airline schedules. The resulting delays that result come with a high price tag: Studies estimate the cost of delays and cancelations to the airline industry is in the billions each year and nearly twice as much to passengers … not to mention the negative impact on their travel experience.

ƒƒ Reaccommodation of every passenger

Rapid Reaction to IROPS

AirCore Predictive Reaccommodation No Passenger Left Behind

ƒƒ Reduced costs of delays and cancellations ƒƒ Priority treatment of high value travelers ƒƒ Automatic leveraging of partners

While IROPS situations cannot be completely prevented, improving the time it takes to react effectively to a crisis is of critical importance. The standard passenger reaccommodation process in place today can only take airlines so far. AirCore® Predictive Reaccommodation™ takes airlines the entire distance, processing the impact of all canceled or delayed flights into and out of a station simultaneously, and providing the airline with an immediate visual representation of the number of affected passengers by station.

No Passenger Left Behind

An Improved Customer Experience

Through interfaces to an airline’s Passenger Service System, AirCore Predictive Reaccommodation identifies all passengers impacted along with their intended itinerary and obtains viable alternate flight availability to get them to their destination. AirCore Predictive Reaccommodation visually represents how many passengers can be reaccommodated within a certain time window based on airline rules. The airline may accept the initial reaccommodation plan or extend the window to increase the number of passengers that can be reaccommodated. Once a plan is accepted, AirCore Predictive Reaccommodation generates bookings through the airline’s Passenger Service System for normal processing.

AirCore Predictive Reaccommodation improves the customer experience by removing the day-of-travel disorder caused by IROPS. The solution provides the following capabilities:

AirCore Predictive Reaccommodation handles the full spectrum of events: from single flight delays or cancellations to the most extreme condition, where an IROPS situation is affecting all flights arriving and departing from an airline’s hub station. In all cases, sophisticated sorting and airline-established prioritization rules enable the airline’s most valuable, most critical passengers to receive the best alternate arrangements. At the same time, by broadening the search window, all passengers will be protected, reducing the amount of manual intervention currently being performed. AirCore Predictive Reaccommodation rules allow an airline to choose whether to reaccommodate passengers automatically to airline partners or to any other airline as desired.

• Handles multiple flight cancellations/delays simultaneously • Reroutes passengers transiting or connecting at a closed airport • Handles the passenger’s entire journey, not just the affected flight • Predicts results based on parameterized rules that can be changed before reaccommodation is initialized • Allows the user to change the rules and view predicted results as often as needed until results are satisfactory • Works with the airline’s current Passenger Service System • Selects the airline’s most valuable passengers and handles them as a priority • Allows an airline to use marketing partners or any other airline • Handles the airline’s most valuable passengers first, based on business rules created by the airline Using a modern reaccommodation solution allows an airline to differentiate itself as being in control in situations that would otherwise be chaotic. Airlines and airports will see lower costs of disruption, faster resolution, and better recovery of the customer experience.
