Deadline for entry FRIDAY, JUNE 24 Juror DAN CAMERON Dan Cameron is an independent curator who has organized several influential exhibitions at venues across the U.S. and abroad. He was Chief Curator at Orange County Museum of Art from 2012 to 2015 and Senior Curator at the New Museum in New York from 1995 to 2006. Cameron is the founder of Prospect New Orleans and has served as Artistic Director for the 8th Istanbul Biennial and co-curator of the 10th Taipei Biennial. He has published multiple critical texts in books, catalogs and periodicals; has lectured at museums and universities around the world; and taught on the graduate faculties of Columbia University, NYU and the School of Visual Arts.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION EXHIBITION DATES September 3 - October 22, 2016 EXHIBITION RECEPTION & AWARDS CEREMONY Saturday, September 3 Opening reception: 4-6 p.m. Awards presentation: 5 p.m. ELIGIBILITY Open to all artists residing in Southern California. All entries must be original and not shown previously at the Irvine Fine Arts Center. MEDIA: All media is eligible: painting, photography, drawing, mixed media, sculpture, ceramics, crafts, installation, video and digital art. PRESENTATION: Installation instructions must be provided with the delivery of artwork or in advance. Work over 60 lbs must be handled by the artist during installation and removal. The artist is responsible for providing all special or unique display props. Work must be on view for the duration of exhibition.

The JPEG images should be sized at 10 inches on the longest side, 96dpi. Please label JPEG images as follows: For entries: first name, last name, entry number. Example: johnsmith1.jpg For detail images: first name, last name, entry number, detail. Example: johnsmith1a.jpg ENTRY FEES $20 for one entry. Additional entries $12 each; maximum six entries. Make checks payable to CITY OF IRVINE. All fees are nonrefundable. JURY NOTIFICATIONS Notification of selected and non-selected work will be sent via e-mail by Friday, July 8.

ALL MEDIA PROSPECTUS - 2016 JURYING PROCESS & AWARDS The juror will select the artwork to be shown in the exhibition from the images submitted. Work which does not meet expectations set forth in the images may be withheld from the exhibition at the juror’s discretion. The juror has the sole responsibility for the selection of the artworks with no exceptions. Awards are selected from the accepted entries. First Place - $500, Second Place - $300, Third Place - $200

FOR SELECTED ARTISTS ONLY LOAN AGREEMENTS Completed loan agreements are due by Friday, July 22. Forms can be downloaded from the Exhibition page on the Irvine Fine Arts Center website: irvinefinearts.org Please submit via e-mail, mail or drop-off at the Irvine Fine Arts Center. Artwork will not be eligible for exhibition unless the loan agreement is completed in its entirety prior to the deadline. DELIVERY OF ARTWORK TO IRVINE FINE ARTS CENTER The drop-off dates for the selected artwork are August 4, 5 and 6, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. only, unless other arrangements have been agreed to in advance. Each shipped entry must be received by 5 p.m. on Friday, August 5, packaged in a reusable container for the return of work. There is no charge for walk-in hand delivered work. There is a handling charge of $25 for shipped work. Shipping costs and insurance are the responsibility of the artist. Shipped artwork must be accompanied by a pre-paid return shipping label and a check payable to CITY OF IRVINE in the amount of $25 for the handling fee (paid separately from entry fee). PICK-UP OF ARTWORK Exhibited work will be available for pick-up on October 24, 25 and 26, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Shipped work will be returned prepaid by the artist. LIABILITY Every reasonable precaution will be taken to ensure protection and careful handling of your artwork. The Irvine Fine Arts Center assumes no insurance liability for damage, theft or other loss occurring during delivery /pick up of artwork - insurance coverage applies only to the duration of the exhibition. SALES The Irvine Fine Arts Center will retain a 25% commission on any work sold during the exhibition - please consider this in your retail pricing. Price is necessary for insurance value, even if the artwork is not for sale. Completed W-9 form will be required in the event of sale. AGREEMENT Submission of an entry form shall constitute agreement with all the conditions outlined in this prospectus. The Irvine Fine Arts Center reserves the right to photograph and reproduce art for use in promotional material.
