“My 1st Ride” is a school bus orientation program for first time riders. This program is offered free of charge to Calgary Board of Education and Calgary Catholic School District students. The dates for My 1st Ride are: Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Bishop Carroll High School 4624 Richard Rd. SW and Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Forest Lawn High School 1304 – 44 St. SE The program consists of a 20 minute PowerPoint presentation followed by a short ride on a school bus. After the bus ride, everyone is invited back to the school gym to pick up treats from Calgary Co-op. Each new rider will also be given a certificate of completion. Staff from both School Boards, as well as Southland Transportation and First Student bus companies will be available for information and/or questions. The sessions run every half hour between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Each session will take approximately 1 hour.
Pre-Registration is required. Online registration will open at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 20 and will close at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2015.
