Have at least one year of agency experience and ideally a certification, diploma, or degree related to Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or English Literature/Language. Are looking for a position to grow into and can work a reduced schedule to start, in a virtual agency setting. You love the idea of being mobile and being able to do your job wherever it pleases you. You live in the Lower Mainland of Vancouver. Can n ame l ocal edi tors, reporters, an d bl oggers by fu l l n ame and have relationships with most major media in Vancouver. Are frustrated with how PR is being done currently and are ready to do things differently and be part of an organization that values new ideas. Have experience managing or working with teams and are ready to skyrocket your leadership and mentorship skills. Consider yourself a genius writer and are damn proud of it. Fast typing skills are a given. Are extremely organized and an excellent time manager. Consider it rude to not respond to all e-mail or phone messages within 24 hours.

Are savvy and active on most, if not all major social networks, and have gotten your hands dirty posting on social on behalf of other organizations. Believe that no job is too small, and are confident enough to ask your boss to help you do things for you or the team. Believe that a company that pays for professional development and attendance at networking events is more valuable than a deducted salary and benefits. Have Internet access, a mobile Smartphone, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), and Adobe Acrobat. Have knowledge of Wordpress and basic coding. Possess basic Adobe Photoshop or InDesign skills.

Duties ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Developing traditional and influencer and campaign strategies for clients. There will be opportunities to work on integrated social media campaigns. Managing all outreach campaigns for clients, including spokesperson training, creating/editing and sending media pitches, attending media interviews, and collecting coverage digitally. Managing & delegating work to student interns, and holding team calls/meetings when necessary. Nurturing media lists and more importantly, your relationships with media. Social media implementation for clients (secondary). Arranging phone calls and attending meetings with clients as necessary. Posting client coverage to Conscious PR’s social media networks. Writing blogs at leisure on ConsciousPR.com/Blog on topics related to PR. Attending team events and networking events at your leisure to help develop business for Conscious PR Inc.
