Gray Swiss Dot Cut 3 strips 5" x WOF. Cut the strips into 24 squares 5" x 5". Cut 3 strips 9¼" x WOF. Cut the strips into 12 squares 9¼" x 9¼". Cut each square twice diagonally to create 48 triangles. Cut 2 strips 16½" x WOF. Cut the strips into 31 rectangles 2½" x 16½".
Mint Main Cut 1 strip 5" x WOF. Cut the strip into 2 squares 5" x 5" and 4 squares 47/8" x 47/8". Cut each 47/8" square once diagonally to create 8 triangles. Cut 1 strip 4½" x WOF. Cut the strip into 4 squares 4½" x 4½". Cut 8 strips 5½" x WOF for Border. Pink Main Cut 1 strip 5" x WOF. Cut the strip into 2 squares 5" x 5" and 4 squares 47/8" x 47/8". Cut each 47/8" square once diagonally to create 8 triangles. Cut 1 strip 4½" x WOF. Cut the strip into 4 squares 4½" x 4½".
Ivy’s Pinwheel QUILT ASSEMBLY Refer to the quilt photo for placement of fabrics as each block is different.
Sew a Unit B to the top and bottom of Unit A to complete the Pinwheel Block. Repeat to make 12 Pinwheel Blocks.
Pinwheel Block These instructions are to make 1 block. Draw a diagonal line from corner to corner on the wrong side of a gray swiss dot 5" square. With right sides together, place a gray swiss dot 5" square on top of an assorted print 5" square. Sew ¼" on each side of the line. Cut on the line to make 2 Half Square Triangles. Press. Repeat to make 4 Half Square Triangles. Square up the Half Square Triangles to 4½". Sew the 4 Half Square Triangles together to create the Center Unit.

Pinwheel Block Posts and Sashing Refer to the Quilt Center Diagram for post and sashing placement. Sew a pink grace 2½" square to a gray swiss dot 2½" x 16½" rectangle. Repeat to make a row with 4 posts and 3 sashing rectangles. Make 5 post and sashing rows. Sashing and Pinwheel Block Refer to the Quilt Center Diagram for sashing and block placement. Sew a gray swiss dot 2½" x 16½" rectangle to a Pinwheel Block. Repeat to make a row with 4 sashing rectangles and 3 Pinwheel Blocks. Make 4 sashing and block rows.
Center Unit
Sew an assorted print triangle to each side of a gray swiss dot triangle to create a Flying Geese Unit. Repeat to make 4 Flying Geese Units.
Quilt Center Assembly Refer to the Quilt Center Diagram for row placement. Sew rows together to complete the center of the quilt. Flying Geese Unit
Border Seam allowances vary so measure through the center of the quilt before cutting border pieces. Sew side borders first.
Sew a Flying Geese Unit to the left and right side of the Center Unit to create Unit A.
Side borders should be 74½". Top and bottom borders should be 66½". Finish quilt by layering the quilt top, batting, and back. Bind with your favorite Riley Blake fabric from the Ivy Mae Collection. Have fun with your colors and enjoy the journey of making your quilt.
Unit A Sew an assorted print 4½" square to each side of the 2 remaining Flying Geese Units to create Unit B. Repeat to create 2 Unit Bs.
