January 23, 2017 PELHAM HIGH STUDENTS COMPETE IN CONSTITUTION COMPETITION
Twenty-two Pelham High School Law students showed off their knowledge of the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights during the We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution state competition at the Cumberland School of Law on January 11. Pelham students, along with over 100 other students from across the state, spent much time preparing for presentations that demonstrated their knowledge of the constitution and then answered questions from panel of judges comprised of constitutional scholars, lawyers, government leaders, and civic educators.
RIVERCHASE MIDDLE STUDENTS SHOW OFF SCIENCE SKILLS Science was the star of the show at Riverchase Middle School's Science Showcase event last week. Each grade level worked on projects with different themes, and it was evident that much time, creativity, and critical thinking went into all of the projects. Eighth grade students completed a wide array of projects in the categories of engineering, behavioral and social sciences, product and consumer analysis, physical science and biology, and health and medicine.
