Lakeview Pantry is looking for a detailed-oriented and dedicated development coordinator to support the organization’s fundraising efforts. Responsibilities cover a wide range of activities within the development department with a strong emphasis on grant writing and portfolio management, accurately managing the database to ensure all gifts are properly recorded, and communicated to internal and external stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 1. Manage a portfolio of 50-75 active grantors, including writing proposals, drafting reports, managing deadlines, and researching potential new funders. 2. Process gifts, including timely data entry of checks and credit card donations and preparation of acknowledgement letters. 3. Reconcile all gifts entered with the finance team on a weekly and monthly basis. 4. Create and update donor records in eTapestry (or other databases), run queries, lists and reports. 5. Write thank you notes, follow-up letters, donor profiles, and other communications as requested. 6. Support donor cultivation and solicitation efforts.

7. Manage integrity and security of confidential donor database and its records according to organization policies and procedures; recommend database protocols. 8. Provide support to the Director of Development and the development department. 9. Administrative and other duties as assigned.

TOP CANDIDATES WILL HAVE: 1. BS/BA Degree. 2. 1-2 years working in non-profit workplace. 3. 1-2 years of database experience, preferably with eTapestry and/or Salesforce. 4. Ability to communicate through email, formal letters, reports, and social media. 5. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. 6. Ability to proactively manage your workflow in response to team goals. 7. Strong attention to detail. 8. An understanding of, and belief in, the importance of food security for everyone.
