SUMMARY: Provide administrative support for all Next Gen ministry staff (Associate Pastor, Children’s Ministry, Middle School, High School & University) and Worship 101 Leader. Serve as a point of contact for members and program participants. Assist with special events and projects. Design and produce marketing and communication materials (email, print, web, social networking, posters, t-shirts, etc…) for all Next Gen events. Maintain the Next Gen and Worship Arts information on the FPC website and prepare the children’s bulletin each week.

ACCOUNTABILITIES: •
Provide administrative support for the staff of Next Gen Ministry such as: setting up appointments and maintaining calendars as requested; scheduling rooms and program requirements (i.e. rooms, food, equipment, etc..); providing routine correspondence; maintaining committee records, assisting with AWANA.

Prepare and maintain group rosters, birthdays and mailing lists in ACS, Constant Contact and on the Shared Drive.
•
Design and produce effective marketing for ministry programs; distribute brochures, flyers and other program notices. Maintain the Next Gen content for the website, Instagram, and facebook.
•
Provide support for the Special Events Coordinator by assisting with arrangements for events: VBS, Fall Festival, Spring Festival, Back to School, Advent Workshop, etc...
•
Assist with arrangements for Youth and U-Kirk mission trips and retreats. Assist with paperwork and waivers, travel plans, reservations and support items (i.e. rooms, food, equipment, etc…). Shop for supplies, organize and pack.
•
Assist with mailings, weekly updates and correspondence as requested.
•
Prepare the weekly children’s bulletin for worship services – create content, questions, visuals that relate to order of worship that Sunday. Prepare worship bulletins when the co-pastors’ assistant is out of the office.
•
Keep track of weekly attendance for children and youth activiites as requested.
•
Relieve receptionist on a rotating basis with other administrative assistants; provide administrative assistance to other program departments as needed.

Build positive relationships with children, youth, university students and parents.
•
Perform other duties as requested.
INTERNAL/EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS •
Internal Reporting: Reports to the Associate Pastor over Next Generation Ministries; supports Director and Assoc Director of Childrens Ministry, Director of Youth Ministries, Assoc. Director of Middle School Ministry, the Special Events Coordinator, Awana Coordinator, and the Worship Arts Leader.

External Interface: members, non-members, related outside groups or organizations.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS: • • • • •
High School Diploma required; Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred. Computer literacy in word processing and other Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint,). Knowledge of Adobe design suite is a plus. Experience in graphic design is preferred Ability to prioritize tasks, to work independently, to hold confidences, to be a team player and to handle situations discreetly. Ability to respond to parents and volunteers in a pleasant and supportive way
