We are seeking an enterprising individual, who relishes challenge, with the capacity to learn quickly, an eye for detail and a passion for the work of charities, philanthropists and social enterprises. An ability to organise and communicate succinctly and effectively will be key to the success of the individual in this role. About Cause4 Established in May 2009, social enterprise Cause4 supports charities, social enterprises and philanthropists in development and fundraising across charity, arts, sports and education sectors in the UK and internationally. Key hubs for work include the UK, Amsterdam and New York, alongside a portfolio of international development work across Africa. Cause4 champions disruptive philanthropy and new ways of scaling up charities and social enterprises. The role will work directly to the CEO and support the Directors, to streamline operations through new business proposal and research paper development as well as develop sector change projects championed by Cause4 in the key areas of Talent Development and Philanthropy. As a pivotal role in the organisation this individual will act as a role model of demonstrating Cause4 values in action: Curious, Ambitious, Straight Talking, Entrepreneurial The post will suit an ambitious individual with at least three years’ experience in a challenging workplace, keen to adopt a project management role to support the growth of Cause4 as an ambitious social business. Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the CEO the Project Manager will lead the following activities: Working directly to the CEO:  Supporting new business proposal development.  Development of detailed sector-facing and internal research papers and briefing and training of graduates in preparing high-level research.  Liaising with the Senior Executive Assistant to ensure effective media briefings, speech writing and presentations in conjunction with the CEO.  Ensuring delivery of the company’s ambitious Business Plan including developing new programmes in the area of digital and international partnerships.  Supporting the delivery of a portfolio of client work as required.  Supporting general office management and administration across a busy office.

Philanthropy  Working closely with the CEO and Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships to bring on new programmes of work and to deliver project work in the area of philanthropy.  To be a key point of liaison for Cause4 Philanthropy clients in developing their core delivery plans and infrastructure. Liaising with the Philanthropy Foundation in account set up. Talent  To lead on the project delivery, budget management, communications and evaluation of a new corporate talent programme in partnership with a leading international bank. Specifically this programme seeks to develop support activity for entrepreneurs facing the challenges of running high growth SMEs across three key areas: 1. Support for female entrepreneurs 2. Support for social enterprises with genuinely scalable potential 3. Encouraging responsible business with a focus on ensuring positive impact on the bottom line  Supporting the development and administration of Cause4’s own graduate talent development programme – the Cause4 Entrepreneurship Programme, including liaising with potential funders, sponsors and accredited bodies.  Support the CEO, Director Talent and Director of Programmes to develop and roll out other Talent related programmes. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required 

A determined individual with 3+ years’ experience of working in a fast paced and challenging work environment;



Exceptional organisation skills and ability to manage complex projects and to prioritize and reprioritize at speed;



Committed to informal and formal ongoing professional development and welcoming of a ‘feedback’ culture;



A polished and highly motivated professional with a strong interest in and at least a basic understanding of the charity sector, fundraising and philanthropy in a fast changing world;



Excellent, straight forward communication skills and highly literate; able to operate with diplomacy, tact and empathy;



A thorough approach to research and exceptional attention to detail;



Strong financial literacy, able to analyse and develop complex budgets;



Sensitive and in tune with clients’ needs; able to think strategically about new business development;



Ability to switch between different roles and tasks;



Ability to deal with confidential material;



Highly IT literate.
