Job Description: Marketing and Advertising Coordinator Position Summary: This position provides the marketing and advertising components needed to help fulfill the mission of the Sauk Valley Area Chamber of Commerce. Position also provides support to the Chamber Board, Ambassadors, and committees as needed to effectively execute Chamber activities. Position Details: Supervisor: Executive Director Qualifications:  Education/Experience  Microsoft Software knowledge and skills (Publisher)  Customer Relations  Marketing/Advertising  Graphics/Design  Social Media including website development  Advertising Sales 

Communications/Marketing  Developing marketing tools and strategies to assist the Chamber in implementing its mission and promoting chamber involvement and membership.  Develop promotional materials and promote chamber events.  Responsible for production of monthly e-newsletter.  Working with existing member management software programChambermaster by Micronet- to alert members of chamber events, opportunities, and information.  Responsible for assisting Executive Director in obtaining advertising for monthly newsletter, website, and events as scheduled.  Responsible for assisting Executive Director in obtaining advertising for website. Including developing advertising packages and opportunities for members.  Responsible for website content.  Develop promotional materials for members as requested using Publisher and/or Canva.

 Working with Constant Contact, an email marketing software program, to schedule weekly adblasts.  Working with committees to develop appropriate promotional materials for their events and projects.  Responsible for utilizing social media primarily Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, and Instagram for promotion and recognition of chamber members and events.  Responsible for maintaining communication with tourism entities as well as local media. 

Chamber Event Management  As needed, assist staff, board and ambassadors in planning and management of Chamber-related events.
