Purpose of the Position:  Responsible for driving uptake of digital products of the bank.  Building partnerships that allow the bank to scale uptake of digital products  Grow number of customers by acquiring customers through digital platforms

ACCOUNTABILITY  Business Development 50%

OUTPUT Partner with branch, and sales team network to generate sales: You will be required to work closely with the branch network to leverage its distribution to deliver solutions across the country.



Engage target partners to drive uptake: Based on the various technology solutions that will be availed you will be responsible for ensuring that you target prospective partners who could be in the private or public sector to get their buy in to take up the products or avail it to their end customers



Develop strategies to target customers through social media channels: You will be expected to work with the marketing team closely to use the social media channels to target partners and end clients with a view of increasing uptake of solutions.



Meet sales objectives as advised from time to time: You will be expected to meet the sales objectives agreed upon from time to time.



Planning and preparing client presentations: A large part of the role will be to communicate clearly to prospective clients the solutions that the bank offers. The target group would be large corporates, SMEs and individuals and the presentations should be suited to the right target group.



Demonstrate a good understanding of emerging digital trends 1 of 3

that are impacting day to day activities and be able to communicate these trends to customers and partners with a view of obtaining increased business.

Account Management 35%



Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs: You will be expected to come up with insights that can lead to customer acquisition and development of new products and solutions.



Constantly engaging signed up partners to ensure maximum uptake of solutions: You will be the go to person for signed up partners to address challenges they may have with the solutions provided.



Coordinate with the customer service team to ensure that signed up customers have a great customer experience.



Managing complaints and addressing issues raised by partners



Own senior management relationships in partner organizations: You will be expected to build and maintain relationships with senior leadership of partner organizations with a view to growing business.



Work with partner organizations to assist them reach their objectives. You will be expected to work with partner organizations to help them meet their objectives by partnering with NIC and taking up our digital solutions. The idea is to offer a symbiotic relationship with partners.



Stay abreast of Client’s industry trends as well as trends in the digitally enabled world. This also includes how they affect client’s business and marketing initiatives

Operations and control 15%



Improve internal processes to make it easier to acquire customers digitally



Recommend areas that can generate additional sales through digitizing processes

Job Specifications (Ideal): Academic Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in a business related field Work Experience:  At least 4 year’s Relationship/Account Management experience or equivalent 2 of 3

  

Experience in working with large data sets and analytics expertise will be an added advantage Experience in digital sales and social media marketing will be an added advantage Experience in managing agent relationships will be an added advantage

Technical skills  Innovation and change management:- A passion for digital led solutions to address business challenges  Knowledge of Banking and Business Operations: Good understanding of credit risk procedures, guidelines and risk appetite frameworks  Good decision making and problem solving skills:-ability to think creatively conceptually and systematically to consider the wider consequences of each decision and deliver creative solutions for new products and services.  Commercial Awareness: - Demonstrated ability in business planning relating to sales, distribution and service and in depth understanding of the dynamics of the financial services sector. Personal attributes 

Good Selling and Negotiation Skills: Must be a good negotiator, particularly in when selling new ideas on changing products and work practices. Good leadership & Interpersonal Skills:, Strong inter-personal skills and leadership ability, which encourages and promotes enthusiasm and team spirit.

Flexible and adaptable: - ability to quickly adjust to new changing trends and remain effective when faced with new challenges and responsibilities.
