Position: Supply Chain Coordinator, Inventory & Fulfillment Classification: Uganda Contract Staff Contract Period: 1 Year Location: Jinja, Uganda Education Requirements: Basis of Employment: Full-time; 40-42 hours per week depending on demands of the work; hours worked over 42 hours/week are eligible for compensatory time off Compensation: $600 Per Month Benefits: International health insurance policy (excludes US), housing, project transportation, monthly phone allowance, round trip flight to Uganda (beginning and end of contract) Reports to: Associate Business Director Direct Reports: Supply Chain Assistant Key Roles: Managing physical material inventory and finished product inventory, fulfilling product orders and coordinating shipments, performing daily data entry and database management, and providing general administrative support to the Business team MISSION: To empower marginalized women to transform the physical and spiritual livelihoods of their families and communities through economic development. POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Supply Chain Coordinator Inventory, Fulfillment role is a full-time paid position based in our Jinja, Uganda office. This position is responsible for coordinating all inventory and fulfillment operations in Uganda, including maintaining Akola Uganda’s inventory database, coordinating all shipping and receiving, conducting inventory stock counts when necessary, and other supply chain duties as required. This position will require a strong connection with the mission of Akola Project and a willingness to give a complete effort for the organization to meet its development goals. QUALIFICATIONS: • Minimum BS/BA degree in Business (Supply Chain or International Business Major Preferred) • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience or strong internship experience • Demonstrated experience working successfully in an office environment

QUALIFICATIONS, CONT.: • Enjoys working in a fast-paced start-up atmosphere • Experience working in a cross-cultural development context (ideally within an African nation) desired but not necessary • Legally authorized to work in the US

RESPONSIBILITIES: Leadership • Lead Akola Project beneficiaries in a way that facilities a high performance egalitarian culture of learning and development, trust and integrity • Seek understanding with and unified leadership alongside the leadership team • Provide a good example of good stewardship with time, resources and privilege for the staff, employees, and women’s groups • Serve as an advocate for Akola Project, promoting the vision, mission and goals of the organization amongst the community at all times to ensure the organization maintains a positive public standing

Unleashed Software Systems Administrator • Perform data entry on a daily basis to ensure inventory count is accurate and up-to-date • Act as focal Uganda-based contact person for Unleashed software • Ensure that Unleashed is used to its fullest potential • Monitor the performance of Unleashed and troubleshoot as necessary Inventory Management • Oversee material and product inventory management including Akola inventory staff • Manage physical storage of and safeguard all materials • Provide inventory reports as needed by the supply chain team • Create and enforce all theft and loss prevention policies, including gate checks, for the organization as a whole • Other duties as assigned and as needed Shipping & Fulfillment • Receive and fulfill product orders • Receive shipments and enter material and products counts into Unleashed • Prepare weekly/semiweekly shipments • Maintain open communication with supply chain staff regarding shipment dates • Track all shipping related expenses • Track shipment times from Uganda to Dallas Human Resources • Manage time sheets and leave for direct reports • Enforce Code of Conduct • Manage skills training for direct reports • Manage theft and loss prevention • Manage health and wellness for direct reports To apply, please send a CV to [email protected].
