PRIMARY PURPOSE The Membership and Sponsorship Manager is responsible for effectively and efficiently managing recruitment and retention of SATIC members and sponsors, based on business development and industry representation benefits. Industry event management is important and includes the South Australian Tourism Awards Gala Dinner, State Tourism Conference, other events and networking functions.

The position also provides assistance assistance with tourism policy, advocacy and industry communications whilst operating everyday administration duties. This is a key position for the future sustainability of SATIC and forms part of the leadership group.

RESPONSIBILITIES •

Increase the number of members and sponsors.



Develop and maintain membership/ sponsorship recruitment procedures, policies and processes.



Develop and maintain membership/ sponsorship retention and renewal procedures, as well as campaign activities.



Manage the delivery of membership and sponsorship benefits.



Manage the membership and sponsorship programs, to target potential new members and sponsors through the production of a prospectus.

Drive sales for SATIC events in the areas of Gala Dinner tickets, Conference and other SATIC programs where required.



Manage the evaluation and reporting of SATIC’s membership and sponsorship activities.



Support organisational work in the areas of advocacy, policy and industry communications.



Provide advice and input into SATIC’s decision-making processes, through the CEO.



Support the SATIC Board and CEO.

KEY CHALLENGES •

Take the lead in creating and initiating membership and sponsorship growth plans.



Lead in designing the collateral, systems and processes.



Deliver the operation plan targets.



Drive growth in membership and sponsorship.



Regularly meet with CEO and Leadership Group to report and plan activities.



To roll out membership and sponsorship prospectus and program.



Oversee and deliver SATIC events.



New database CRM system to be rolled out.



Prioritise the delivery of multiple projects.



This position needs to ensure it meets and manages the budget requirements and the deadlines for projects assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS •

Tertiary qualification in marketing, tourism or business related required: such as Diploma of Tourism



Desirable: Bachelor of Tourism/Event Management
