You will contribute to the provision of high standard specialist medical services to patients of, and referred to, the Northern Adelaide Integrated Chronic Pain Service. You will ensure the appropriate documentation of clinical care in patients' medical records and ensuring the timely provision of discharge summaries, written specialist opinions and requested medical reports. Providing clinical leadership to facilitate and support a team approach to the provision of clinical services, you will assign and supervise the clinical practice of allocated Trainee Medical Practitioners. As well as contributing to teaching and training at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, you will participate in relevant research activities. The Northern Adelaide Integrated Chronic Pain Service (NAICPS) is a multidisciplinary team consisting of Chronic Pain Specialist Consultants, Psychiatrists, Psychologists (including Clinical and Health Psychologists), Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Nurses and administrative staff. $32 million has been invested in Modbury Hospital under Transforming Health to build new facilities and significantly expand rehabilitation services in the North and North East, ensuring the community can receive care closer to home. Holding a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, you will be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with specialist registration. In addition, you will have Fellowship of the Australasian Faculty of Pain Medicine or an equivalent specialist qualification in Pain Medicine. With demonstrated clinical excellence in Pain Medicine, you will bring the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment. Displaying a high level of professional integrity, you will be adaptable to change and committed to quality improvement in the practice setting.
