ROLE AND PURPOSE: The primary role of the Specialist-Title I Family Engagement position is to provide educational opportunities for families of AISD students and to support their engagement in the education of their children. SCHOOL/ORGANIZATIONAL IMPROVEMENT A. Evaluate and monitor campus and district compliance with ESSA by: B. Planning, scheduling and facilitating the District Title I Parent Advisory Board C. Maintaining and evaluating the District Title I Family Engagement Policy D. Ensuring all necessary processes have been completed to update Title I Campus Family Engagement Policies and Title I Campus School-Parent Compacts E. Coordinating the efforts for the completion of the annual Parent Engagement/Satisfaction Survey F. Reviewing and coaching efforts with campus-level Family Engagement Teams in planning and carrying out Family Engagement activities G. Work with other AISD departments to create programs and opportunities for all Title I campuses

SCHOOL/COMMUNITY RELATIONS A. Development and coordination of AISD Title I Family Engagement Programs on all Title I campuses including support for Title I Campus Family Engagement Liaisons and Family Engagement Teams B. Provide Family Engagement Staff Development and support for personnel at Title I campuses which would include occasional evening meetings

PROFESSIONAL GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT A. Remain knowledgeable about ESSA, parenting topics and current family engagement trends by attending a variety of staff development.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES A. Supervise District Title I Family Engagement staff with consist of 49 Family Liaisons and 5 department staff members

MISCELLANEOUS A. Performs other duties as may be assigned by Parent and Community Engagement Director
