Job Title: Volunteer Camp Counselor Organization: Junior Achievement of San Diego Starting Date: 7/6/17 Ending Date: 7/14/17 Days: Monday - Friday Time: 8:45 am to 3:15 pm Job Qualifications: Seeking a candidate 17-years old and older. High school and college students welcome. Ability to work with middle-school students in a group setting. Job Description: Junior Achievement is seeking Volunteer Camp Counselors to host five days of an unforgettable summer camp for tomorrow’s leaders. The camp will be at our newest hightech budgeting center, Mission Fed JA Finance Park. The camp will focus on career-readiness and planning for a successful future. Camp counselors will work closely with Junior Achievement staff to support and lead various summer fun engaging activities. The ideal candidate is friendly, respectful, energetic, responsible, reliable, and proactive. Camp Counselors will be responsible for leading youth through activities, projects, and games. Must be able to receive and give instructions, as well as, the ability to coach and provide direction to campers. This is a great opportunity for young adults to gain volunteer experience to boost a high school/college resume. Counselors will also get an inside look into potential career paths in San Diego. Additional Info: Junior Achievement will host 80 middle school students at our JA Finance Park summer camp during the week of July 10th thru July 14th. ***Please note this is a non-paid position and strictly a volunteer opportunity.
