This course is a 3 credit required course for graduate students in the pharmaceutical socioeconomics program. Enrollment fluctuates between 1 and 8 students.

Insurance and Reimbursement in Pharmacy (46:344/144). Course Developer, Coordinator and Sole Instructor

This course is a 2 credit “selective” in the PharmD curriculum, where P-3 students must choose two out of ~ six classes. It is a new course that I developed which has in depth coverage of topics related to insurance and reimbursement in pharmacy. Enrollment fluctuates between 65 and 75 students.

Core Principles in Pharmaceutical Socioeconomics (46:130). Instructor all years, Course Coordinator in 2005.

This course was a 3 credit required course in the PharmD curriculum that covers a wide range of topics related to pharmaceutical socioeconomics. Up until 2008 I taught all the health insurance and prescription drug insurance lectures (8 lectures) plus one management lecture. In 2008, another faculty member picked up the 4 health insurance lectures. Enrollment averaged 105 students.

Graduate Seminar in Pharmaceutical Socioeconomics (046:213). Course coordinator in Spring 2000,2002,and 2013. Fall 2008. Participant most other semesters.

This is a 1 credit graduate seminar course for our graduate students in pharmaceutical socioeconomics that meets every fall and spring semester. We have a different topic every semester, but the overall goal is to develop our students’ research and teaching skills.

Pharmacy Practice Lab (46:119). Lecturer

This is a 2 credit course that is part of a six course pharmacy practice lab sequence in the PharmD curriculum. I developed and taught a lecture and a discussion/lab on the cost of pharmacy services (including cost of dispensing).

This is a 3 credit graduate course taught in the college of public health taken by M.S. and Ph.D, students in a variety of disciplines. I developed this class to provide graduate students with an in depth understanding of health insurance, with a focus on the U.S. system and health policy. I taught this class as part of my joint appointment in the College of Public Health from 2000-2003.
