Kit Fee: None Combine your Treasured Fabric Bits and/or create an abstract fabric collage, or create your own signature colorful garment or accessory. You can also learn the fine art of the exquisite roll-hem edge and will be able to use this technique on many projects to come. Creativity, color decisions and techniques will all be explored in this workshop. Kayla will bring many samples of her innovative techniques for inspiration. Students should bring: Sewing machine and accessories (include your manual) *Optional Serger (in working order, set to three-thread roll-hem) Basic sewing kit, including large and small scissors Extension cord and surge protector Ruler Marking chalk or pen Pins with large heads (yellow headed quilters pins work great) About 25-40 lightweight pieces of fabrics such as silk, lace, organza, include your special pieces! (all shapes, but roughly 4” square to 12” square) Please note: Kayla will also have a large bin of her treasured bits on hand; you can choose to stuff a bag (pattern size plastic bag) for $10.
