10 a.m.-Noon Discovery Patio, Flagship Store There are a few key knots every young outdoorsperson should know—our experts will teach them in this fun clinic.
10 a.m.-4 p.m. Morse Street, adjacent to the Flagship Store Bring your bike, or we can provide one for you. Representatives from our Bike, Boat & Ski Store will set up a fun obstacle course where you can test and improve your riding skills. Helmets required and provided. Ages 3 and up.
1-3 p.m. Discovery Patio, Flagship Store Bring your camera and have your picture taken with the Sea Dogs mascot, Slugger! Snack on a FREE Sea Dogs biscuit too, while supplies last.
Book Readings & Signings 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Kids Department, Flagship Store Visit with authors as they read stories and sign copies of their books. Authors include Brenda Reeves Sturgis, Suzanne Buzby Hersey, Nicole Fazio, Don Carrigan, Robin Taylor Chiarello, Liza Gardner Walsh, Lynn Plourde, Donn Fendler, Ben Bishop, and Karen Pond.
Fun Games for All Ages! 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Moose Parking Lot, behind the Bike, Boat & Ski Store Kids can try their hand at one or all of these fun games and activities. L.L.Bean Boot toss, paddle and plush lobster race, flying disc toss, chalk art, and more.
Bruce Johnson—Magic & Comedy 11 a.m. Discovery Park Stage Bruce is a magician, comedian and escape artist. A winning combination of comedy, audience participation and mind-boggling magic, this is a show that will delight kids and adults alike.
Kids’ Face Painting 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Discovery Patio, Flagship Store Choose from several designs and have artists from Art Van decorate your face!

L.L.Bean Bootmobile Bring your camera along for a picture with our L.L.Bean Bootmobile—a mobile version of our iconic L.L.Bean Boot. Created especially for our 100th Anniversary celebration, this unique bio-diesel-fueled vehicle is 13 feet high and over 20 feet long. The L.L.Bean Bootmobile is currently on a national tour, visiting with customers throughout the country and encouraging them to get outdoors.
Noon-2 p.m. Discovery Patio, Flagship Store Learn about fly-tying equipment and basic tying techniques, then tie your own “Wooly Bugger” fly and take it home with you. Ages 8 and up.
The Tardy Brothers—High Energy Juggling 12:30 p.m. Discovery Park Stage Featuring their own brand of relentless sarcastic wit, physical comedy, live music and high energy juggling, Matthew and Jason Tardy have created an unstoppable performance that keeps audiences on their feet!
Kids’ Costume Parade! 2 p.m. Discovery Park Parade around our campus—wear a costume— prizes will be given for various categories.
Geocaching 2-4 p.m. Discovery Patio, Flagship Store We will provide you with a GPS unit and the coordinates to a series of geocaches to help you explore the Freeport Campus.
“The Kastaways” Mascot Band 2-4 p.m. Discovery Park Stage After nearly 20 years of touring the country “The Kastaways” are thrilled to be back in Maine. The popular quintet is known for their high-energy performances combining magnificent music with zany ad-libs. Come enjoy great music and a lot of fun!
Kids’ Dance-Off 3 p.m. Discovery Park Bring your dancin’ shoes and show your moves during The Kastaways performance! All activities are free unless otherwise noted.
