Outreach

I am the creator of an educational website for data science named DataScience+ datascienceplus.com which has so far accumulated over 1.4 million visits from over 130 countries. DataScience+ contains over 180 tutorials and videos on topics ranging from data management to advanced modeling such as deep learning and machine learning. There are over 2,500 subscribers and 29 authors registered with DataScience+ who contribute daily with tutorials about R and Python programming. I have given several interviews to the international media, speaking extensively about my research on the obesity. Most notable interviews over the years include interview with Alice Park for the Times “Not Exercising Is As Bad As Being Obese, HealthWise” and with Madeline Kennedy for Reuters “Obese Seniors Live More of Their Golden Years with Heart Disease”.
