LAKEWOOD POLICE DEPARTMENT EXECUTIVE SUMMARY 2017 In review of the year 2017 the Lakewood Police Department continues to provide for the safety and security of our residents, businesses, and visitors. The Division of Police is very committed to increasing our visible presence in our community to deter the opportunity to commit violations of our laws. Visibility by the Patrol Officers on our streets is an important aspect of our crime reduction strategy. The presence of our Uniform Division, work by our Investigative and Narcotics Units, and dedication of all of our support staff has a direct impact on crime and improving the quality of life in Lakewood.
This report to our citizens is an important way for the Lakewood Police Department to keep the public informed of the activities of their Department and the current status of public safety in Lakewood. The members of the Lakewood Police Department are proud in the professionalism they display in the performance of their duties. With the continued assistance and cooperation of our citizens we can all continue to keep Lakewood a safe community.
