Lauren Jackson is the Philafieldhockey.com Rookie of the Week Club: Souderton Strikers FHC Team: U14 Silver Tournament: Viper

Lauren Jackson, an 8th grader at Wissahickon Middle School and first-year indoor player for the Souderton Strikers FHC, had another strong performance in her rookie season. “She played strong in the Vipers Tournament and helped this new indoor team get a win,” said Manager, Michelle Waldspurger. "Lauren is an essential player to any team with her ability to handle the ball with impressive speed and aggression,” said Coach Hannah Bergey. “Her confidence on the court makes her a stand-out player and she is a quick learner. She possesses many qualities that allow her many moments to shine in practices and games." “Lauren had the opportunity to play in a tournament with mixed players from other U14 teams and she stepped up to the challenge and played well,” continued Waldspurger. “Lauren is athletic, strong, and works hard - she has great qualities to be a strong player." Jackson’s other interests including Tae Kwon Do (black belt); she also trains in Brazilian jiu jitsu. She’s an avid reader, a member of the Technology Squad at school and an Honor Roll student. Jackson is also a volunteer member of the civil air patrol squadron 902 and participates in the youth group at Trinity Episcopal Church. Clubs share equal time in honoring Players of the Wk.
