She led the project at Cardinia to transition the organisation to a new smarter way of working, including the move to a new Civic Centre for a period of three years. She previously held the role as Manager Organisation Development since 2006. She worked more than 14 years at Cardinia and 20 years within the broader local government sector. 1:00 – 4:00 WORKSHOP B: How to effectively communicate your council’s future vision during a transition This workshop will offer you tools to guide your internal staff and community through changes in council. It will encompass how to maintain workforce morale to maintain productivity and to effectively engage and interact with your community in times of change and ambiguity. Prior to her appointment in June 2014 as Chief Executive of Christchurch City Council, Dr Edwards was the Chief Executive of the Commission for Hospital Improvement in the Victorian Department of Health (Australia). The Commission’s role is to improve clinical, quality, process and efficiency of Victorian hospitals.
