ELIGIBILITY Are you a full-time PreK-12th grade teacher: * Spending at least 50% of your work week in direct classroom instruction * Returning to the classroom in the consecutive school year * Having at least three years experience

Every day, we ask our students to take risks and push beyond their comfort zone. When was the last time you did this for yourself?

Ƭ DREAM

Fund for Teachers invites you to design a summer learning experience that will transform your classroom. Craft an odyssey that brings out the scholar, explorer, scientist or artist in you – and then, your students. Ask yourself:

* If I could gain one quality or ability that would help my teaching, what would it be? * What could I do that would change my students' learning experience? * Where would I study? * What could I bring back to my classroom? $5,000 for Individuals & $10,000 for Teams

Ƭ DESIGN This sounds too good to be true! How can I design my own learning experience?

Ƭ APPLY T

The application is completed online in three parts: The coversheet, proposal and itemized budget.

Reflect on your teaching: What are your strengths and challenges? Think about your students and their needs: What would spark their learning? Create your guiding questions: What do you want to learn? What passion inspires you? Where is the best place to learn it? Think outside the box. Research your options: Find experts; talk to your students and their parents; explore destinations. What insights can they offer? Collaborate with your peers, school leaders, local organizations and international partners. How can they extend the impact of your learning? Connect: How will you bring your learning back to your classroom, school and community?
