 Wireless Network Access Points (275)– replaced throughout FSD at all sites  Required extra cables to be installed in areas where there was little or no coverage (ie gymnasiums) so that access points could be installed.

 Network Switches (250) – replaced throughout FSD with the exception of Foothills Composite and Dr. M. Gibson.  Foothills Composite modernization required revamping of server room  Requires a network switch rack to be installed at Dr. M. Gibson

Learning Technologies  Smartboard and projector replacement program (90)- C. I. McLaren, Okotoks Junior High, Joe Clark, Spitzee  Maintenance and Facilities removed old equipment and installed new equipment.  Learning Technologies connected new equipment and made it functional for teachers.

Learning Technologies  Negotiations with Shaw for increased Internet services (ISP) and Disaster Recovery Site services (DRS)  Resulted in pricing of $3 per megabit/month  Requires moving backup services (DRS) to Shaw Data Centre in spring 2017  Moving to a 1 Gigabit connection in December 2016  2 Gigabits connection in spring 2017

 Supernet bandwidth increase  Provisioned 3 Gigabits of service at the Network Operations Centre (NOC)

Learning Technologies  Cell phone booster pilot in Millarville  Planning for Foothills Composite modernization to remove all old network cabling and install new cabling.  Planning for network services at the new Division Office.
