The course is recommended to:  

Volunteers involved in coaching junior club, school or community cricket teams Talented Youth cricketers keen to be involved coaching junior teams  Cricketers considering playing overseas during the off-season

Community (Level One) Coaching Course is in 2 parts:  

An Introduction to Cricket on-line theory component (completed before attending the practical session) A face-to-face practical component run by an accredited Cricket NSW presenter

The course has no pre-requisites. The practical component covers the key fundamentals of batting, bowling, fielding and wicket-keeping, together with modified games, activities and drills for coaches to use during team training sessions. Course cost: Age: Dress: Extras:

$120 ($100 for Teachers & Students) Candidates must have turned 16 years of age by the course date Wear comfortable clothing to the practical session (shorts, t-shirt, joggers etc) Bring a notepad & pen and a cricket bat to the course (if possible)

Steps to Register to attend the practical session: 1. If you haven’t already completed the Introduction to Cricket on-line component, CLICK HERE to register on the Cricket Coaches Australia website. 2. To access the Introduction to Cricket course you will need to visit the ‘courses’ section on the CCA website. The course can be completed in one sitting or over a number of sessions and must be completed before attending the practical session. 3. Then complete the attached Level 1 Enrolment Form. 4. Complete the enrolment form and return with payment to Hayley Blight at Cricket NSW (details on form). NB. Course closing dates enable resources to be provided to coaches at the course so please register and pay the course fee prior to the closing date. Courses require a minimum of 10 participants to proceed.

Australian Cricket Coach manual The Cricket Australia Coaching Guide CD-ROM Cricket Activities Booklet Membership to Cricket Coaches Australia Invitations to attend coaching seminars Community Level 1 Coaching Card & Course Certificate Junior clubs are the chief beneficiary of having accredited coaches guiding their players and their support in promoting the courses to prospective candidates is appreciated.
