CORPORATE SERVICES SUPPORT If you were going to describe your job to a friend, what would you say? In the Corporate Services department, I help the employees of companies with stock options exercise their grants. I also open all new accounts for Corporate Services and schedule USD wire transfers. What skills do you need to be successful in this role? Attention to detail is required. You also need great personal skills! A lot of people have never done anything with investing before so we often need to explain how things work and walk them through the process. What is the most rewarding part of your job? Learning! I have been able to learn so much since starting here. I am surrounded by wonderful and intelligent people who are willing to teach me the ins and outs and help me grow. I recently passed my Series 11 and am now studying for my 7 and 63. I also love the family atmosphere. I love coming to work every day and the team has become such a big part of my life. What three words best describe you? Resourceful, tenacious, and loyal. What is one thing you cannot live without? My best friends, Marlee and Alicia. We’ve been friends since we were in kindergarten so we’re basically sisters. I talk with them every day and I don’t really think I could handle life without them keeping me grounded.
What is your most memorable moment at work? I remember coming back after passing my Series 11 and everyone sharing in the excitement with me. It feels really amazing to be in an environment where people want you to succeed. What is your most embarrassing moment at StockCross? In our Omaha office we have an abundance of wildlife, which I love! However I do not love spiders. One early morning I was in our kitchen area cutting up some fruit and when I went to the sink to wash it off, I was met by a HUGE spider in the sink! I screamed so loud and scared everyone. What do you do for fun outside of work? I like to play video games. I play on consoles and computers and have some friends that do competitive gaming. Besides that, I really like to get together with friends and play board or card games like Settlers of Catan, Monopoly, or Cards Against Humanity. How has your experience been working at StockCross? StockCross is a great place to work because they care. They care about their clients just as much as they care about their employees. It’s full of real down to earth people who are some of the most sweet and positive people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. I really look forward to growing with the company and seeing where it will take me!
