The Library selects, collects, catalogues, indexes, organizes, acquires and maintains the collections & information resources to enable continuous research and learning environment. The Library also disseminates information or knowledge gained in UNU activities to scholars and to the public. Responsibilities: Under the overall supervision of the Director of UNU-IAS, and under the direct supervision of the UNU Librarian, the position is required to take leadership roles to maintain and improve the collection management system and information services; deliver high quality of library services to clientele in a small but trusted team. Work assignments: 1. Technical services for the Integrated Library Management System :  Maintaining bibliographic and other resource files in the integrated library management system KOHA according to the bibliographic/meta data standards such as AACR 2 and various MARC formats;  Testing various modules and features such as authority file functions.  Updating the online public access catalogue and contents.  Catalogue UNU publications, documents, other selected materials and online resources.  Index catalogued items and assign appropriate subject keywords in the UNBIS Thesaurus. 2. Build high quality information services mechanism and provide effective services:  Implement information services for researchers, postgraduate students and the public.  Provide contents for the Web sites and the intranet.  Building the UNU digital archives of research outputs and official records:  Gathering the research outputs produced by the UNU research institutes.  Digitizing archival records of UNU research outputs and official records prior to 1992.  Catalogue and index digitized archival materials.  Sha
