Life In Farmland Grilled Pizza Recipe: Note: You can swap any of these items out. Let’s say you find a sale on pizza dough, use that instead. Heck you could even just throw a frozen pizza on the grill and it taste amazing.

Pizza Dough Recipe: Ingredients: 1 teaspoon sugar 1 envelope instant dry yeast (or 2 ¼ teaspoon if you buy in bulk) 2 teaspoons kosher salt 1 1/2 cups water, 110 degrees F 2 Tablespoons olive oil

Instructions: Using dough hook, Combine bread flour, sugar, yeast and kosher salt in your stand mixer bowl. While the mixer is running on low speed, add the water and 2 tablespoons of the oil. Increase speed to medium and knead until the dough forms into a ball and is sticky but doesn’t stick to your fingers.

Grease a large bowl with 2 teaspoons of olive oil, add the dough then flip it over to coat both sides with oil, cover the bowl with plastic wrap and or towel, and put in a warm area to double in size for an hour.

Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and divide it into 2 equal pieces. Cover each with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap and let them rest for 10 - 15 minutes. (Note: It seems to be easier to work with if you let it rest the full 15 minutes).

Place on a flat surface covered with ground corn meal and work the dough into the shape of your pizza.

Pizza Sauce Recipe: Ingredients: 16 oz of Tomato Sauce 1 teaspoon Basil 1 teaspoon Onion Powder 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder or Minced Garlic 2 teaspoons Oregano 1 Tablespoon sugar

Instructions: Mix the items together in a bowl. Adjust to taste.

Grilling Instructions: After coals have started to ash over, Spread the coals out evenly into one layer. If you are using a gas grill set to your ideal cook temp. 300 f - 500 f.

Wipe down your grill grates with a high heat oil such as ( Avocado, peanut, or vegetable oil)

Place your pizza crust dough on the grill and close your cover for around 3 -6 minutes until the bottom is golden brown. Check the bottom of the crust to insure its cooking evenly, rotate if necessary.

Remove crust, placing cooked side up. Cover crust with your pizza sauce, cheese, and toppings of your choice.

Place your pizza back on the grill for another 3 - 6 minutes until the bottom has browned and your cheese has melted. Again, check the bottom of the crust to ensure even cooking.

Slice and enjoy!
