When updating lighting, this service also includes removal and disposal of existing appliances.
The Lighting Performance Platform, a programme developed by Zumtobel for remote monitoring, offers a detailed overview of energy consumption, energy costs and summarised savings, all in real time.

Light as a service With NOW!, you don't buy lighting, you get light as a service. You don't invest in any fixed assets, instead paying a monthly fixed sum. You won't need to apply to company management for investment funds, and your company can use its financial resources for core areas of business, rather than investing in depreciating assets. Direct cost savings If you're renewing outdated lighting, the energy and maintenance costs saved go directly towards paying for the NOW! service. The sooner you renew your lighting, the greater the benefit of a NOW! solution. Our partnership framework agreement clearly set out the NOW! criteria aimed at improving lighting quality and energy efficiency, and all production halls will be inspected. Hall P22 is the first to benefit from NOW!.
Differing tasks are carried out in Production Hall P22, requiring differing levels of light. Our lighting design positions luminaires to ideally suit each work station but also offers flexibility if the layout changes.
The NOW! project manager accompanies Sapa through the planning, removal and disposal of the existing luminaires, and helps with the delivery, installation and commissioning of the new lighting solution. The professional installation and integration of the luminaires is performed by the Zumtobel partner EGD Elektrotechnik quickly and efficiently on pre-defined weekends.

Better light with halved energy consumption
The globally active aluminium manufacturer Sapa has chosen light as a service for its Nenzing facility for strategic reasons. Thanks to the NOW! service agreement, the Zumtobel Group will ensure energy savings of 50 per cent in the coming years – with a 30 per cent higher illuminance and an improved light distribution. A monthly fixed sum in combination with monitoring creates transparency, and the customer benefits from immediate savings thanks to the reduced energy costs. Zumtobel ensures performance, lighting quality, efficiency and functionality over the entire service life.

Under the NOW! partnership our experts manage the new lighting system in continuous operation, and also assume responsibility for maintenance and repairs. In case of changes, they adjust the system to suit the new environment.
Energy consumption, illuminance and operational hours are continuously monitored. NOW! specialists also inspect the appliances on-site at regular intervals, and make suggestions for possible improvements.

The NOW! Lighting Solution Consultant registers the current status of the lighting at the Aveve market in Brustem and works out its requirements. A short time later, the managing director receives a suggestion regarding how the lighting could be improved and what cost savings could be achieved. Interest in a NOW! solution has been awoken.
After receiving the commission from Aveve Brustem, NOW! delivery specialists work up a detailed plan for implementing a customer-specific NOW! solution.
The NOW! project manager accompanies Aveve Brustem through the planning, removal and disposal of the existing luminaires, and helps with the delivery, installation and commissioning of the new lighting solution. Cedelec N.V. Meunier, a Zumtobel installation partner with many years of experience, completes the turn-key installation.

Better light and 72 per cent less energy
Before the update, the illuminance was only 300 Lux. Reflector luminaires with 2 x 58 W fluorescent lamps didn't fulfil the high expectations of today's retail customers , with poor uniformity and minimal highlighting. The maintenance costs were also increasing year on year. Today, TECTON continuous-row luminaires and wallwashers illuminate the entire Aveve sales space in Brustem with an uniform 500 Lux, making the 1000 m2 space far more attractive. Together with new warehouse lighting, the significantly improved lighting solution achieves energy cost savings of 72 per cent. The savings are predictable and transparent at all times.

Aveve Brustem gets an iPhone app, giving it access to real-time information on energy consumption. NOW! specialists also inspect the system on-site at regular intervals, and make suggestions for possible improvements.
