QUILT ASSEMBLY Refer to the quilt photo for placement of fabrics. Borders Seam allowances vary so measure through the center of the quilt before cutting border pieces. Sew border strips together end to end if necessary to get the length needed. Sew side borders first. Border 1 Side borders should be 41½”. Top and bottom borders should be 40¼”. Border 2 Refer to the quilt photo for placement of print 2½” x 8” rectangles. Sew 6 print 2½” x 8” rectangles together for the right side border. Sew 6 print 2½” x 8” rectangles together for the left side border. Sew the right and left side borders to the quilt center. Refer to the quilt photo for placement of print 2½” x 71/8” rectangles. Sew 6 print 2½” x 71/8” rectangles together for the top border. Sew 6 print 2½” x 71/8” rectangles together for the bottom border. Sew a blue norwhal 2½” square to each end of the top and bottom borders. Sew the top and bottom borders to the quilt center.
