Session 1 – People Dick Gygi “But realize this, that in the last days, difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God; holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; and avoid such men as these. II Timothy 3:1-5 Our Calling as Image-bearers: Living with Purpose Then God said, “Let us make man in Our image, according to our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. And God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Genesis 1:26-27 I All Mankind is created as His Image-bearers Image-bearers are like a __________, reflecting our image back to the world. The mirror reflects God’s image through us, but an image-bearer is more like an _______ _______ allowing the world to see in both directions; our image, and a reflection of the love and care of Christ at the same time. Those looking in the angled mirror don’t seem so ______________ and ___________, because they see in two directions. N.J. Wright God created all mankind in His Image, male and female alike. God in His goodness and kindness had His people in mind before the foundation of the world. As God’s image-bearers, we are all equal in dignity and worth. God did not distinguish between the _______________ and __________________ in creating all mankind in His image. Understanding our _________as Image-bearers changes everything about our human relationships. As Image-bearers, we should view others as God sees us. 2

On the other hand, if developed and leveraged, that one thing has the potential to create unparalleled success and prosperity in every dimension of life…that one thing is ____________” “The Speed of Trust” Stephen M.R. Covey “And we proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, that we may present every man_______________ in Christ.
