DIDCOT TOWN COUNCIL ALL SAINTS WARD Casual Vacancy in the Office of Town Councillor NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Section 85(1) of the Local Government Act 1972 that on account of the failure by John Louth to attend a meeting of the Council throughout a period of six consecutive months, a vacancy exists in the office of Town Councillor for the town of Didcot (All Saints Ward). The vacancy will be filled by election if any ten local government electors for the said electoral area submit a written request for an election to be held to fill the vacancy to the Returning Officer, South Oxfordshire District Council, 135 Eastern Avenue, Milton Park, Milton, Abingdon OX14 4SB within 14 days after public notice of the vacancy has been given. In computing these 14 days mentioned above a Saturday or Sunday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Good Friday or a bank holiday or a day appointed for Public Thanksgiving or Mourning is disregarded.
