R a t h e r than yearning for a desk position at a corporate conglomerate, we dream of creating a mark of our own. We n o l o n g e r a s s u m e t o o u t s o u r c e o u r m a n u f a c t u r i n g overseas, instead we choose to educate ourselves in the living tradition of sewing, pattern drafting, cutting and draping. This connects us directly with our product and customer like no one else could. Combining our artistic vision with perseverance, we change the e xc l u s i o n a r y a n d w a s t e f u l f a s h i o n l a n d s c a p e i n t o something more personal and tangible. H AYA A M E R I D I A N B Y N I YA M I D D L E T O N STUDENT OF MADE INSTITUTE The inspiration for this capsule collection has developed from my fascination of natural elements and the different shapes and textures f o u n d i n n a t u r e . T h i s m i xe d w i t h manmade beauty sometimes found in nature has inspired the collection which boasts a subtle blend of hard and soft with a handsome contrast of black and white sprinkled with gold. The core and original inspiration for the line stems from wanting to allow women to build a modest wardrobe without forgoing style. 7

HARX FOUR BY RENEE HILL ALUMNI OF MADE INSTITUTE P h i l a d e l p h i a b a s e d d e s i g n e r Re n e e H i l l introduces Harx4, a custom mens/womens wear line that is both graphic and modern. The foundation of this collection is the use of high quality materials, sourced from English mills and imported from around the world. Harx4 features a bold aesthetic that takes the modern man/ woman from day to night. Harx4 is about bending the rules using free expression. As our moods change what we select to wear may change. So Harx4 gives the man/ woman that wants to make a statement the ability to go from a high quality t-shirt to a tailored blazer never second guessing his decision. With the luxury quality of the fabric being imported from the best mills in England the quality of the garments will stand the test of time. Using bold designs to create statement pieces, Harx4 will always be recognizable. All Harx4 Designs will be manufactured in Philadelphia. 12
DAMIANO COLLECTION BY ALEXANDRA DAMIANO T E AC H E R AT M A D E I N S T I T U T E Prior to launching Damiano Collection, Alexandra has studied the world of fashion f r o m P h i l a d e l p h i a t o N e w Yo r k , M i l a n a n d Pa r i s . Shortly before graduating with honors from the Art Institute of Philadelphia, Damiano spent two years inside the patternmaking studio at O s c a r d e l a Re n t a g a i n i n g v a l u a b l e i n s i g h t i n t o the working realities of high fashion. After her internship, Alexandra went to work as a Te c h n i c a l D e s i g n e r a n d Pa t t e r n m a k e r f o r a n A m e r i c a n m a n u f a c t u r e r. In 2015 Damiano Collection was born. The line showcases an e f f o r t l e s s t r a n s i t i o n o f d a y t o e v e n i n g w e a r i n s p i r e d b y t h e r e l a xe d m o o d o f n a t u r a l m o d e r n f e m i n i n i t y. T h e C o l l e c t i o n i s m a d e o f 1 0 0 % natural fiber cloth, sourced from American companies and sewn in a partner factory located in Cheltenham, North Philadelphia. 13
