Cooking class experience


Once finished the lesson, all participants will sit at a table for a tasting of the dishes prepared, and will be offered different kinds of Sicilian wines, spirits, mineral water and coffee included, of course! All participants will be given a recipe in English and a certificate of participation from the Chef.


Meet at 9:00 am with the Chef for a small coffee break. The tour will begin at the market of Taormina with the explanation of the products displayed. After the explanation, will buy the ingredients that will serve us for our cooking class. After reaching the restaurant, participants will find a table already prepared with all the necessary tools and an apron. We will start with the preparation of homemade pasta with a very traditional. After preparing the dough, we will proceed with the preparation of the "Caponata" home made with the same vegetables bought at the market. During the lesson we will prepare many dishes of typical Sicilian cuisine such as: fresh sardines, zucchini flowers and many more.

¡  Volcano, is the closest island to Sicily, is located 12 miles off Cape Milazzo and Lipari is separate from a small canal off just over a mile. Its name derives from the Roman god and is composed of volcanoes Lentia, Piano, Vulcanello and Fossa, the most active of the four.

¡  2:00 PM departure from Vulcan direction island of Panarea. ¡  During the navigation we will admire the coasts and the white houses of the island of Lipari. ¡  Skirt the Castello, the pumice quarries and approaching Panarea you can admire the incomparable beauty of its coves and the two islets of Dattilo and White List.


¡  Stop of about 2 hours and 30 minutes, to allow the visit of the town, bathing and for those who wish, will be 'possible to walk to the little village of Cape Milazzese dating back to 1400 BC.

¡  Taking navigation passed Basiluzzo we will see the majestic Stromboli. The height of this mythical volcano in constant activity, is about 920 meters above sea level and that is why it is called the Lighthouse of the Mediterranean. The waters from the color cobalt, almost perfect cone, the slopes of blackish lava, smoke and offer a unique, especially at sunset with the contrast of the perched villages, shades of white in typical Aeolian style, gliding down to the sea .


¡  Special attraction arouses the house that was the love nest of Roberto Rossellini and Ingrid Bergman during the filming of the movie "Stromboli Land of God"; other curiosity set in Stromboli is the conclusion of the novel "Journey to the Center of the Earth" in 1864 by Jules Verne. Among the places to visit is noted in particular the Church of St. Vincent placed on the square from where you can admire the magnificent view of the islands. It will be also possible to freely make the climb up to the crater of Stromboli Volcano Observatory place 400 meters from where you can have another magnificent panoramic view of the island.

Panarea & Stromboli by night


¡  At sunset, boarding and transfer under the Sciara del Fuoco. While browsing sail along the northern part of the island, the small island of Strombolicchio and the small village of Ginostra. ¡  Stop at sea to admire the natural phenomenon of the pyroclastic explosions of the volcano Stromboli. ¡  10:00 PM return to Vulcano.

¡  We pass' the Monterosa, the bay of Canneto, white beaches, the pumice quarries, where we will take a bath first. Then, on your left you will see the small village of Acquacalda, while in front of us there will be the island of Salina. Starting to costeggiarla from Capo Faro, we will see the turret and perpendicular walls with various homogeneous layers to witness geological stages. Later, we will see the small village of Malfa and Perciato, a natural arch on the sea. © All rights reserved

¡  We will stop for a swim in the beautiful bay of Pollara (where it was filmed the movie "Il Postino" with actor Massimo Troisi) formed by a caldera of an exploded crater, half sunk below the sea level.

¡  For another stop we will stop at Rinella. Going around the lake will drive the bow in Santa Marina, one of the most renowned centers of the island, here you will be able to shop and enjoy a lunch with typical Aeolian in our local restaurant (optional fee). ¡  Resume sailing pointing the route to the west coast of Lipari, with its coves where we will stop for a last swim. ¡  On the way back, the view of the Cave of the Angels and the Faraglioni of Lipari will indicate the end of our trip. © All rights reserved

¡  5:30 PM return to Vulcano

Alicudi & Filicudi ¡  9:15 AM departure from the port of Vulcano for the tour of the island Alicudi.


¡  We pass the Monte Rosa and the famous beach of Canneto, continuing we get to the pumice quarries where we will stop for a bath first, with dives from the boat. Continuing the scenic tour by boat, you can admire Acquacalda. Leaving the coast of the island of Lipari, we will continue to do the islands Alicudi and Filicudi. ¡  After an hour you will arrive in the small harbor, where a long ladder are arranged the classic Aeolian houses. ¡  Stop on the island useful to allow the visit and bathing

¡  The traditional attractions of the island of Alicudi are: the festival of San Bartolo celebrated in the second half of August


¡  The island of Alicudi consists of six clusters reachable only along mule tracks or stone steps, and is dominated by Mount Wire Harp.

Alicudi & Filicudi ¡  Tradition has it that a heavy statue olive is laboriously carried on shoulders in a long tour for the mule tracks (roads), a local committee organizes the evening fireworks on the sea and a public dance on the pier. Another event on the island of Alicudi occurs during August, with the markets of stalls set up, on which you can 'find various goods, such as clothes, traditional foods, capers, pots and baskets vivaie privet. The evening Artists and fortune tellers from various Italian and European cities, compete by offering a great show and appreciated.
