Man Charged with Attempted First-Degree Murder of Northglenn Police Officer 17th Judicial District Attorney Dave Young announced Monday the filing of attempted first-degree murder charges against Adrian Brandon Moya for shooting a Northglenn police officer on December 19. Moya (DOB 03/06/92) is charged with one count of attempted first-degree murder after deliberation (F1), one count of first-degree assault for threatening a peace officer with a weapon (F3), one count of possession of a weapon by a convicted felon (F6) and one count of violent crime as a sentencing enhancer. Moya’s first court appearance was on Monday. He is due in court at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, for setting of a preliminary hearing. He is held on $500,000 bond. The filing of a criminal charge is merely a formal accusation that an individual committed a crime under Colorado laws. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. ###
