Man Charged with First-Degree Murder in Aurora Slaying
17th Judicial District Attorney Dave Young announced Monday the filing of first-degree murder charges against Christopher Michael Winters (DOB 01/20/71) in the death of Coresa Breault. Aurora police found 44-year-old Breault dead at her home at 1769 Beeler St. in Aurora on May 26. Winters is charged with one count of first-degree murder after deliberation (F1). Winters was advised of the charges Monday. His preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. on August 14 in Division L of Adams County District Court. The filing of a criminal charge is merely a formal accusation that an individual committed a crime under Colorado laws. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. ###
