Man Charged with First-degree Murder in Brighton Stabbing 17th Judicial District Attorney Dave Young today announced the filing of first-degree murder charges against Jason Lee Trevino (DOB 01/03/92) in the stabbing death of 34-year-old Antonio Torres on Tuesday. Brighton police responded to the Eastgate Mobile Home Park at 3060 E. Bridge Street early on Tuesday and found Torres unresponsive and bleeding from multiple knife wounds outside one of the mobile homes. He was transported to University of Colorado Hospital where he died in surgery. Trevino and Torres had been involved in an altercation earlier that night. Trevino is charged with one count of first-degree murder after deliberation (F1). He was advised of the charges today (Friday) and is set for a preliminary hearing at 9 a.m. December 16 in Division G of Adams County District Court. The filing of a criminal charge is merely a formal accusation that an individual committed a crime under Colorado laws. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. ###
