World Book Day – Advance Notice
Please remember that academy policy is that children should only bring plain water in to school with them. However, we are more than happy for parents and carers to add some natural sweetness to water by adding slices of fresh fruit to children’s water.
We’re looking forward to World Book Day once again this year!
Flavoured water should not be brought in to school. Thank you.
Dates for Your Diary 09/02/18 – Year 5 Chinese Banquet Afternoon
On Thursday 1st March, children are invited to dress up as a character from their favourite book and join us at school for a fun filled reading related day!

All in Perspective - @MrM6Yellow
Year 1 Yellow loved working together to choose materials to make dens for the three pigs so they could stay safe and dry in all weathers.
Year 6 Yellow have used their art skills to do some perspective drawing, linked to their work on 'The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas'. Great work, Year 6 Yellow.

As requested by parents and carers, we’re introducing the ‘trips tracker’ to our weekly newsletter. The tracker will allow parents and carers to keep up to date with upcoming visits and will allow you to see how many payments are still outstanding. Remember that, as school already subsidise trips, if all payments are not made then trips may be cancelled.

Year 3 Yellow have been learning all about Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics. After learning all about them, children wrote secret messages using the symbols and solved them in pairs. Well done, 3 Yellow!

Carnival Fun in Y4! @MGY4G & @MrNewmanMG Both Year 4 classes had a great time making their own carnival masks this week inspired by their theme work based on Brazil.
@MGYear3Yellow Year 3 Yellow have started their Egyptian sunset paintings by blending colours. We can’t wait to see the finish products, 3 Yellow!

Year 4 Green were exploring coordinating conjunctions in pairs. Discussing which conjunction to use helped them to check which made sense. We’re all FANBOYS in 4G!
What perfect timing with the super blood moon too! Lots of children saw it and linked it to their learning. Fantastic work, Nursery!
