Middle Atlantic Planetarium Society MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION The Middle Atlantic Planetarium Society is the regional professional association for planetarians for a 13-state region from Maine through West Virginia. It is open to all people working in or interested in planetaria. The annual membership fee is $25. Our membership run from January through December. If I receive a membership application late in the year, I may decide to make the membership good for the following year, depending on conference dates for the year, when I receive the check, and how cold the weather was that morning. Checks and money orders are welcome; you can also pay on-line at our Web site, mapsplanetarium.org. If your institution is issuing a check, please make sure that your name appears somewhere, so your payment can be properly assigned. Refer all purchase orders and W-9 requests to the MAPS Treasurer at the address below. Note that all memberships are for individuals, not for institutions (unlike IPS, we do not have institutional memberships). Information about upcoming conferences, MAPS committees, MAPS officers, and other MAPS activities is available at our Web site, www.mapsplanetarium.org. Note that there will be no full-scale conference in 2017; instead there will be several mini-conferences in various locations. In addition, we encourage members to attend the Pleiades national planetarium conference in St. Louis in October. Our quarterly newsletter, The Constellation, is available via either regular (snail) mail or email, or both. You can indicate your preference by checking the appropriate box below. Please consider the “Email” option: this alternative saves the organization a fair amount of money, and also space on your desk.
