PILGRIMAGE ITINERARY Day 1: Departure Flight Day 2-3: Arrival & Assisi

Cathedral of San Rufino, Basilica & tomb of St. Francis, Basilica & tomb of St. Clare, San Damiano crucifix, morning hike up Mount Subasio, Santa Maria Sopra Minerva, San Damiano Friary.

Day 4-8: Rome

On the way to Rome, a stop in Orvieto, site of a Eucharistic miracle for Mass. In Rome, time at the 4 major basilicas including a full day at the Vatican/St. Peter’s for a Wednesday audience. Tour of the museums and a Mass at the tomb of St. John XXIII if possible. Also around Rome: the original Our Lady of Perpetual Help icon, Trastevere neighborhood, Piazza del Popolo, Chigi Chapel, Santa Maria della Concezione and the Capuchin crypt created with the bones of thousands of deceased monks. Free Day in Rome… • Go on your own! Have fun exploring the city for the day. • Sign up for a city tour – there are various options you can find online that do something unique like guided tours in museums, a food tour of Rome including a cooking class, etc.

• Take a day-trip to Ostia Antica. A short train ride west to the coast and you’ll be able to explore the most elaborate and wellpreserved ruins from ancient Rome. A very unique experience. • The bus will make a day visiting historical/cultural sites of Rome for those who wish to make a day of it doing this.
