We are looking for a marketing, communications, and customer-focused individual who is digital and social media savvy to join our team to fulfill a multi-dimensional role of “Marketing & Communications Coordinator.” This is a dynamic and important role and we are looking for a talented person to create and maintain a strong online presence for our organization and to help maximize our marketing, e-commerce, business development, and communications activities. This role will have exposure to all areas of our innovative organization and it provides the opportunity to hone skills in marketing, digital and social media, Board and corporate communications, consulting, e-commerce, business development and project management. The right candidate must be invigorated by working in a small, entrepreneurial, and growing organization, predominantly working in the Ontario marketplace, but also globally focused. To excel, the successful candidate will be customer–centric, very organized, have excellent writing and administrative skills and have good marketing, communications, project coordination, digital and social media experience.

Position Profile: This position is responsible for the coordination of marketing activities (both print and digital), website updates and analytics, social media, database development, client ecommerce reporting, communications and corporate materials to realize the goals of the organization. The role supports the business development team coordinating campaigns to generate awareness and business results. It is a particularly interesting role, actively involved in the development of communications for new technology focused products and services and innovative new products coming to market. Therefore, this role participates in many OTEC project teams providing great exposure to the organization. In addition, this role coordinates reports and communications to the Board of Directors and provides corporate communications support to the President & CEO who directs the branding and marketing activities of the organization. This is a progressive position with lots of room to demonstrate leadership skills and for advancement into a marketing, communications, or business development project manager or manager position. This role will particularly appeal to those interested in the tourism destination management and development; tourism and hospitality workforce development; service sector skills development; business to business marketing, digital marketing, workforce innovation, training, or human resource fields.
